See my church First Baptist Church of Tempe's web page.

Willow Creek Community Church
|
Now, for comparison, see Willow Creek's web page. Notice how it downloads much faster, yet looks like it has just as much, if not more, content. This is accomplished by allowing the user's browser to render the page instead of sending a huge graphic image of the page. Plus, it permits the page to have a chance of rendering correctly on alternative platforms (e.g. Windows CE).
Oh, and you might note how they offer current content, including things like the events occurring during this week, and details about the upcoming weekend service. Cool stuff.

Saddleback Church
|
Also, for comparison, see Saddleback Church. Reasonable, but they delve into gratuitous use of Flash, so, unless you are a masochist, avoid going directly to their www.saddleback.org url. Don't misunderstand, flash can be cool when it helps show the user navigate the site. However, forcing an unsuspecting user to sit through a flash splash is silly. The important thing to note is that the content is current, not just static pages with service times.

Cornerstone Christian Fellowship
|
Another interesting church web page can be found at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship. Unfortunately, on last view, they had a few large image files that didn't appear to be correctly sized for screen. Also, they might benefit from a consistent color scheme.

Canyon Ridge Community Church
|
Canyon Ridge Community Church's web page seems to have a consistent color scheme, but doesn't seem to know where to apply the various colors, leaving big "canyons" of white. Perhaps thats where they get Canyon in the name... The might benefit from a few less animated images as well.
